we wear privacy like a pressure suit.we stuff the seat next to ours in a cafe with raincoats + umbrellas, stare unremittingly at posters in a doctor's waiting room to avoid encounter, to avoid getting involved...unable to stop treading on each other's toes in the mega-community, we step into our separate houses and close the door, and then into our separate rooms and close the door
